Parliament not convinced by Government account on antenna radiation effects

“In a meeting held at Parliament health committee in the presence of ICT and Health Ministry authorities, it was decided that a common committee of MPs, Health and ICT ministries would be formed to review the issue,” Parliament health committee deputy president told Mobna news agency.
“The Health Ministry authorities announced they could not verify the ICT Minister’s explanation that BTS antennas were not dangerous because they had not been presented with sufficient information on the effects of such antennas,” Hosein-Ali Shahriari said.
“At that meeting, the ICT minister said he did not know of any jamming of satellite TVs and the Health Ministry authorities said they had not done any research in that regard,” Shahriari said.
The meeting was held following reports on harmful effects of such signals on citizens.
