Third Operator project should be sent to Cabinet: ICT deputy-minister

He criticized the delay in announcing the Third Operator tender winner.
“If negotiation with Zain as runner-up does not come to any conclusion, then RCRO should start negotiation with the second runner-up as soon as possible otherwise it is better that it is handed over to the Cabinet,” Kamal Mahamedpour told Mobna news agency.
Tamin-Etisalat consortium was selected as third operator tender winner on Jan 21 but ICT Ministry dismissed the operator for reason that it did not fulfill its commitments.
It was planned that Third Operator would release its sim cards in the first half of this Iranian year (around end of Sep.) but it seems unlikely regarding delay in selecting the winner.
