Active sim cards basis for operator’s license quota

“RCRO has decided that an operator sim card quota should be based on the number of its active sim cards,” Radio Communication and Regulations Organization’s monitoring deputy, Hassan Rezvani, announced.
As for Second Operator – IranCell MTN – he said it had been allowed to issue a maximum of 15.8m sim cards.
The operator recently issued its fifth 10-million package of 0939 sim cards and at that time claimed that it could issue as many sim cards as it saw fit since no maximum quota had been set in its license.
