IranCell aims to top 40 million subscribers

The operator, which, according to the license, has been required to issue 16 million sim cards in the country, has started its new round of delivery of 0939 sim cards.
The company, which has hitherto shied away from announcing the exact number of sim cards it has issued so far with codes: 0935, 0936, 0937 and 0938, intends to issue yet another package of 10-million sim cards later this month.
“Although we are required to issue up to 16 million sim cards over a 15-year period, our competitor, the Mobile Company of Iran, is allowed to issue 38 million and that is not logical,” IranCell managing director Alireza Ghalambor Dezfooli told Mobna news agency.
