Post Office tariffs floated before privatization: Post Office official

“The Post Office will be divided into two sections of administrative and operational. The shares in the Operational section will be assigned both to the private sector and foreign companies,” Mohammad-Hasan Mohebbian Araghi told Mobna news agency.
“By floating its tariffs, which is prerequisite of privatization procedure, this section will be freed from its loss-making situation,” he said.
“Post Office shares assignment will not concern its administrative section, which receives government subsidy,” he added.
The Post Office managing director had earlier announced that according to predictions about 30% of PO shares would be assigned to foreign investors and a public invitation has since been issued.
Based on the new privatization law, Post Office shares have to be assigned to the private sector by the end of current Iranian year.
