High demand for smuggled mobile sets

Smuggled mobile sets, imported mainly via illegal channels and sold with high price margin in comparison with mobile sets with warrantees, are welcomed more.
Following increase in demand for smuggled mobile sets, counterfeit warrantees are also sold as well.
Poor after-sale service by authorized companies of warranted mobile sets is among reasons that more and more buyers tend to obtain smuggled mobile sets.
Market sources believe that authorized importers could not compete with smugglers because of current 25% import tariff on mobile sets.
They also believe that Iranian buyers are not receiving proper after-sale service on their purchased mobile sets and so they prefer to buy smuggled sets.
