“After private operators entered to the telecommunication arena, the pricing services and tariffs will became very important, so if special laws are not set and enforced, then some companies might gain monopoly in the market,” an economic expert Mohammad Yousefinejad told Mobna news agency.
“For example a company that offers services in two or three fields can gain more income from mobile phone services and then reduce its landline services tariff,” he added.
“So as a result a small company that just offers landline service can not compete with it,” Yousefinejad said.
“Of course government supervision on the market does not mean that it inhibits other private companies offering different services. If a private company has ability to offer different services it can get license and enter the market,” he reminded.
