۳rd Operator tender groundwork completed

Organization the groundwork for the 3rd Operator tender has been completed.
Ministry of Information & Communication Technology PR department quotes Information Technology chief and 3rd Operator tender administrator Saeed Mahdiun as saying that efforts to select a foreign consultants to oversee the tender is under way.
He added that to select a competent foreign consultant they have been in touch with some European and Arab companies, and hoped they would come up with a name in a fortnight.
He indicated that a number of European, Arab and Russian companies have so far shown their inclination to participate in the tender.
Regarding the trip to Iran by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) experts, he said they traveled to Iran some two weeks ago and reviewed the tender documents and the 3rd Operator license and are expected to report their assessments this week to TRC, which will, in turn, forward it to RCRO.
Mahdiun added the report will then be studied by RCRO and final decisions on the license and tender documents will then be made.
