Proposal on Third Operator reassignment to one of tender winners

”All MPs insist on re-holding the tender, however, with the omission of foreign partner presence proviso,” Ali Motahari told Mobna news agency.
”The proposal is not the only solution for bringing order to Third Operator situation and the government is free to decide on the issue,” he said.
”The winner companies have announced their readiness to take part in the project without the presence of a foreign partner,” he added.
Tamin Etisalat consortium was selected as Third Operator tender winner in January 2009 but was dismissed by government for failure to perform its commitments. 
The fate of Third Operator project has remained in doubt ever since.
