Partially state-owned companies likely to win Third Operator

 Since Etisalat did not fulfill its commitments and there was no agreement with the Zain, it has been decided that Third Operator is reassigned to partially state-owned companies.
Those companies which are active in the telecommunication sector have the priority for obtaining Third Operator license.
Removing the obligation of foreign partner presence for re-holding Third Operator tender has reinforced the likelihood that the Third Operator project will be reassigned to partially state-owned companies.
Third Operator had initially been expected to release its sim cards by Sept 22 this year.
