Third Operator reviewing workgroup starts assignment: MP

”The workgroup consists of Government officials and Parliament research center and mines and industries committee representatives. Although the workgroup’s task is not executive but it tries to help select Third Operator as soon as possible,” Ali Motahhari told Mobna news agency.
”MPs on the telecommunication committee insist on repeating the Third Operator tender. The workgroup will only give advices on the project,” he said.
”Reviewing Third Operator position will be the first priority of industries and mines committee after Parliament reconvenes. Since Third Operator project deadline is over, the winner has to be determined as soon as possible,” he said.
Mines and industries committee spokesman Ali Asghar Yousef Nejad and Parliament telecommunication committee head Ali Motahhari have been selected by Parliament as its two members on the Third Operator reviewing workgroup.
Other members will be selected this week.
The Third Operator tender winner has not been determined yet although it was to release its sim cards this summer.
