RCRO negotiation with Zain continues

“The result of negotiations with Kuwait Zain has not been determined,” Mohammad-Reza Farnaghizad told Iran’s mobile news agency (MOBNA).
RCRO head had announced that because of negotiation with Zain Kuwait to attend in Iran third operator project, negotiation with Omantel consortium is against tender documents conditions.
“When agreement with Zain is achieved, RCRO will offer a report to cabinet and announce the final decision for third operator winner,” Mahmoud Khosravi had said.
Zain-Iran consortium compromises of Iran Broadcasting retired fund, teachers retired fund and Kuwaiti Zain was selected as second winner of third operator tender after Tamin-Etisalat consortium.
Telecommunication minister had announced that Etisalat could not use investment opportunity in third operator project.
It was planned that Tamin-Etisalat consortium compromises of Tamin Telecom company and Emirates Etisalat to pay 160 trillion rials to government during 15 years.
