We welcome legal clarifications – Competition Council president

“There may be a clash of obligations between the Council and the Radio Communication and Regulations Organization but the Council would welcome any effort to remove them,” Competition Council president, Jamshid Pajouyan, told Mobna news agency.
He said item 58 of article 44 of the Constitution’s had clearly specified Competition Council’s obligations.
“The Council would not interfere in technical matters but would make pronouncements on economic ones,” Pajouyan added.
The Competition Council president had recently suggested that the ICT Ministry should appoint new representatives to RCRO and that commission should act under Competition Council’s direction.
The whole issue started when the Council began making comments on country’s telecom operators.
