Half-hearted approach to mobile smuggling

“The fact that 90% of mobile market has been taken up by smuggled sets goes to show that no serious effort is being made by the authorities in that regard,” Hamid-Reza Monji told Mobna news agency.
He warned that with the present trend the remaining section of the market will soon fall into smugglers’ hands.
Emad Semiconductors has contract with the Ministry of Industries and Mines to manufacture two million mobile sets annually, although the company is currently engaged in assembling Hyundai mobile sets.
