ICT Minister to appear in Parliament

“Reza Taghipour is appearing in Parliament industries and mines committee to explain his ministry’s overall plans and the assignment of Third Operator project to Tamin Telecom Company,” industries and mines committee spokesman Ali-Asghar Yousefnejad told Mobna news agency.
Earlier this month the ICT minister had formally assigned the project to Tamin Telecom Company, which is owned by the Social Security Organization.
Third Operator is required to issue 17 million sim cards in the first 15 years of its operation and a fruitful competition is expected among country’s mobile phone operators.
