MCI not making profit from interconnection with IranCell

“The real cost of a mobile phone call is around 500 per min and TCI has also to pay 334 rials to MTN-IranCell towards interconnection, which adds up to 834 rials, and considering that the tariff within MCI network is 625 rials, despite the apparent difference, MCI makes neither profit of loss from interconnection with MTN-IranCell if network traffic is normal,” Saber Feizi told Mobna news agency.
TCI chief, Vafa Ghaffarial had recently claimed that TCI made a loss from its interconnection with MTN-IranCell, which is true if we only consider the 334 rials that the operator pays TCI as interconnection rate.
MTN-IranCell technical deputy, on the other hand, has claimed that TCI has made 28,000 million rials from its interconnection with MTN-IranCell.
