“Although some parts of the province are desert or mountainous, the antenna coverage in the province is high compared to other parts of the country,” Ali Kargozar told Mobna news agency.
“There are 406 SOS telephones along the province’s highways as a result of a 1.2 billion rials investment,” he said.
“There are 161,000 mobile phone subscribers in the province with its penetration rate standing at 77.35%,” he added.
The province, according to him, currently has 866 ICT service bureaus, 1,167 BTS sites, 20,711 public telephones and 4.3 million landline phone subscribers.
