“At present, 148% urban and 122% rural households have landline phone in the province, bringing its penetration rate to over 32%,” Changiz Amiri told Mobna news agency.
“There are 2.8 million mobile numbers in the province, supported by 1,236 BTS sites bringing its penetration rate to 46.57%,” he added.
“۸,۳۴۱km of fiber optic cables have been laid in the province and 11 private internet provider companies now offer high-speed internet to 401 schools and 11 academic institutions and universities,” he said.
“New services such as landline phone sms and online bill payment via 1818 are among those which will soon be established in the province,” he added.
