TCI still regarded as state-owned – MP

“We expect Government, Parliament and the public to change their perception of privatization as to what it really is,” Ali Motahhari told Mobna news agency.
“Parliament is very concerned about the fate of TCI subscribers’ deposits after its privatization, which needs to be sorted out,” he added.
“TCI privatization was perfectly legal although the procedure seemed to raise some doubts which have to be cleared out,” he continued.
He said it was a matter for the Ministry of Economic Affairs to look into.
He hoped that TCI would present bills to Parliament which Parliament could turn into law considering current circumstances, and remove any likely hurdles that lay ahead.
