Frequency interference caused by some BTS antennas eliminated

“There are BTS sites which cover wider areas than have been allocated to them and the resulting overshoot often causes interference and call cuts in the network,” Majid Mokhtarnia told Mobna news agency.
“Around 700 such sites have been identified in Tehran since three years ago and allocated separate frequencies,” he added.
The cause of overshoot is attributed to the topology of the area with high and low locations.
There are around 18,000 BTS sites in the country.
