Former Taliya director appointed head of PR at Industry and Mines Ministry

In a letter by Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian, Abolfazl Shakeri has been commended for his successful past experiences in related positions urging him to do his best in informing the Iranian public of the current plans and future goals of the Ministry in the speediest and best possible way.
The Minister has also thanked the former PR director Mehdi Abbassirad for his efforts in fulfilling his duties while in office.
Shakeri, who has 20 years’ experience with the press, is a Tehran University graduate in political science with previous experiences including PR director of Taliya, press advisor to head of Iranian Central Bank and assistant to news director at Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
He has at one time been IRNA reporter on economic and social issues while also working in Aria, Iran and Jam-e-Jam newspapers and some weeklies.
Creation and management of Mobna news agency and its websites, as the only website on ICT, and editorship of Telefon-e Hamrah monthly magazine is among his recent activities.
