MCI’s GPRS to become countrywide

“If the service is well-received in main cities then the operator will be able to expand its activities,” Hamid-Reza Nekoufar told Mobna news agency.
He said their GPRS had been upgraded to 2.75G.
GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is part of GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) which can be used to exchange data.
Its rate used to be 14.8 rials at peak hours and 4 rials at off-peak hours but the operator has now replaced it by four new packages for a period of one month as follows:

Package 1 is priced at 58, 500 rials
Package 2 is priced at 162,900 rials
Package 1 is priced at 471,000 rials
Package 1 is priced at 479,000 rials
