Demand for mobiles with warranty increases

“The fall in demand for smuggled sets and those without original warranties has led to customers opting for those that have valid warranties,” Pars ComTel sale manager, Mhboobeh Nilofari, told Mobna news agency.
“The poor quality of sets that have no warranties has discouraged prospective buyers from purchasing them,” she added.
Ever since the police crack down on mobile smuggling last month and confiscating a substantial volume of such sets, people now go for those with warranty,” she said.
The raising to 60% and later lowering it to 25% of mobile set import tariff has not resulted in the cut in mobile smuggling, and 95% of the market is still in the hands of smugglers.
