“Mobile manufacturers can offer a mobile model exclusively to an operator and the operator can offer it with special service to its subscribers,” he told Mobna news agency.
“This can be achieved with Government guarantee that it would reduce mobile set import tariff and end mobile smuggling,” he said.
“In Europe and America, mobile phone operators offer mobile set with sim card contract to their subscribers. This brings huge profit to operators and mobile manufacturers alike,” he added.
“This is not possible in Iran because of existing high import tariff on mobiles (25%) and more than 90% of market being owned by smugglers,” he added.
