IAA to build Student Satellite

“The implementation of the project was started in previous (9th) government and is going forward according to plan,” Forghani said.
“Creation and launch of a satellite with remote sensing capability is another program of the Agency with the help of domestic experts,” he added.
“Design and creation of a common satellite with Islamic countries is also on authorities’ agenda,” he said.
“We are in negotiation with member countries of the Islamic Conference Organization in order to build a satellite with remote sensing capability,” he added.
“Creation of space surveillance and GPS reference stations countrywide and keeping 3 Iranian orbital points are among the Agency’s programs,” he said.
