Third Operator dossier being closed: MP

“Third Operator’s case has almost been determined but Tamin Telecom Company, as the project winner, has not been officially declared to Parliament although the Parliament has learned about it,” Sharif Hoseini told Mobna news agency.
“Expert study of Telecommunication Company of Iran block share assignment and Third Operator will start by the next few days,” Hoseini added.
Tamin Telecom submitted the Third Operator go-ahead paper to Radio Communication and Regulations Organization last week and was formally selected as Third Operator.
The license value is 300 million Euros and the operator is to start its operation soon.
Tamin Telecom Company (affiliated to the Social Security Organization) was earlier selected as Third Operator tender winner along with its foreign partner Etisalat from the Emirates, but was later dismissed from the project because the foreign partner could not fulfill its obligations.
