Persian language Linux software draft development document submitted to Data Company

“The Persian Language draft document has been submitted to the Data Company and they are to carry out necessary actions on the document,” Ali Naseri told Mobna news agency.
“The company is later to submit it to the Cabinet for final approval,” he said.  
“The Persian Linux draft document has made possible transportation of close source to open source software,” he added.
The project was proposed by Sharif Advanced Information Technology Center in February 2000 and after 6 months revision its executive project was started by Informatics Supreme Council and Supreme Council of Information Communication.
The authorities at the ICT Ministry believe that by implementing the project there will be no reliance on major foreign software companies.
