Authorized companies import mobiles below two million rials price

“With respect to current market situation, which is full of smuggled mobile sets, authorized companies cannot compete with smugglers,” Ebrahim Dorosti told Mobna news agency
“The ultimate losers in high mobile set import tariff are the government, users and authorized importers,” he said.
“Settling on a 10% import tariff would be fair and with that the market would be put right,” he added.
Iran Customs Organization deputy had said earlier that because of mobile set smuggling their revenue had decreased.
Most imported mobile sets have been smuggled which amounts to 95% of the market.
