Nokia and Samsung top authorized importers to Iran

“There is no exact figure now on topmost imported brands but previous figures showed Nokia and Samsung were,” Reza Jomhouri told Mobna news agency.
He believed, however, that most mobile sets were imported via illegal channels and the authorities concerned should be able to curb such activities.
The activities of most authorized importers are now at a minimum because of high tariff levied on imported mobile sets.
Such inactivity has led smugglers to expand their activities to the extent that 95% of the market is now taken up smuggled sets.
