National internet network pilot project in two provinces

“The provinces were selected as target to set a suitable pattern for national internet network project in other provinces,” Abdul-Majid Riazi told Mobna news agency.
“Metroeternet network was launched in Kerman Province as national internet province network. The project is now in its final stages,” he said.
“It was decided that Qum Province was a suitable place to conduct a pilot test of smart national card and so it was also set as first priority in joining national internet network,” he added.
“Qum Province’s metroeternet network is ready and will be launched in near future,” he said.
“The implementation of national internet network project is among 10th government priorities,” he said.
Among the project goals is increasing the capability and capacity of National IP network with an eye to new generation networks, service to private PAP companies, creating virtual networks (VPN) of companies and organizations countrywide and creating high-capacity infrastructures for regional and international transmission.
