Mobile phone R&D center necessary: authorized agent

 “As a result of high mobile set import tariff and increase in its smuggling, all kinds of low- quality and substandard mobile sets are available on the market,” Pedram Ilikayee told Mobna news agency.
“۹۷% of the mobile market it now taken up by smugglers, and importer companies’ presence cannot be felt in this 46-million consumer market,” he said.
“Smuggling has led to domestic-produced and assembled mobile sets not being attractive,” he added.  
“If import tariff is cut from 25% to 10% and a mobile phone research and development center is established with Government support, a proper market will be created for mobile phone,” he said.
