Fars Province GSM linked to MCI

This is part of the scheme to link over 9,000 rural areas with GSM to the MCI network.
The link, however, is one-way, and only MCI subscribers will be able to use the network in such areas.
GSM is established in rural areas not linked via overhead communication cables, and its tariff is the same as that of landline phone.
The links will add another 2,000 sites to the existing MCI BTS sites.
The operator has over 16,000 BTS sites in the country and has 29m subscribers.
