“These cards which are already popular for reasonable price and good antenna reception will be even more popular in future days,” retailer Ali Heidari told Mobna news agency.
The decision was made following a proposal by TCI board of directors that the sim card is sold at the reduced price temporarily between Eid al-Ghadir (December 17, a Shiite celebration) and January 31.
The sim card bears a 20,000-rial initial charge and the deadlines of most of its charge cards have been extended for more than twice. It is sold on demand.
MCI prepaid sim card subscribers now number 11.5 million.
