MCI prepaid sim card at 100,000 rials

The decision was made following a proposal by TCI board of directors that the sim card is sold at the reduced price between Eid al-Ghadir (December 17, a Shiite celeberation) and January 31, the day the late Ayatollah Khomeini returned to the country.
The price includes linkage and 3 per cent VAT.
The sale of sim card at the new price will either continue after January 31 or another price will be set, depending on how the public responded to the new price.
MCI has in total 28 million sim card subscribers of whom 16m are postpaid.
