Mobile phone 2G technology not able to develop mobile commerce

“Currently mobile phone technology has been developed in country, but mobile commerce is completely different with traditional business,” Esmaeel Fathi told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
“Mobile phone easy access and usage is among the advantages of mobile commerce. Via mobile phones subscribers can access internet and purchase via internet. For example a system for paying mobile phone bills by sms which has been launched is among new services,” he added.
“Applications based on mobile commerce technology should be developed, since mobile phone has been welcomed in our society and it is a good opportunity to launch mobile commerce,” he said.
“First mobile phone operators mobile-commerce services are only advertisement and payment via sms, so with current mobile phone generation indeed we will not have mobile-commerce,” Fathi added.
