Tehran Common BTS sites to be decorated

Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is the equipment which facilitates the wireless communication between user equipments (UE) and the network. UEs are devices like mobile phones (handsets), WLL phones, computers with wireless internet connectivity, WiFi and WiMAX gadgets etc.
Currently about 2,000 BTS sites in Tehran are for Mobile Company of Iran, 500 sites are for Irancell and 300 sites for Taliya mobile phone operator.
“Since some BTS antennas which are common between operators have been installed without respecting city environment and beauty so we are going to decorate them,” Ertebate Moshtarake Shahr company managing director Mohammadali Abedi told Mobna news agency.
Site sharing is a company which is launched for operators to use useless and vacant places in city for installing common BTS antennas.
Already he had said that 50 BTS sites in Tehran will be commonly used by first, second and third operators.
