RCRO studies mobile number portability between operators

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) enables mobile telephone users to retain their mobile telephone numbers when changing from one mobile network operator to another.
“Since mobile number portability between operators and roaming is one of important elements for competition, if this law is approved in RCRO all operators should implement it,” Radio Communication & Regulation Organization deputy Lotfollah Sabouhi said.
Already RCRO head Mahmoud Khosravi had said that Mobile number portability issue has been cited in all operators licenses and third operator should offer this service too.
RCRO is telecommunication ministrys regulatory body which oversees and issue license for mobile operators in the country.
