MCI ready for surge in subscribers’ Eid al-Fitr sms messages

“MCI is quite prepared for the occasion and will utilize its extra capacity to offset additional loads,” MCIs surveillance and management deputy Mohammad Hussein Fallah-Asghari told Mobna news agency.
MCI has around 27 million subscribers who transmit on average 45 million sms daily, going up to nearly 90 million sms on special occasions.
The sms rates are 8.9 and 22.22 rials (less than a cent to two cents) for Persian and non-Persian messages respectively.
