Mobile set import duty reduced to 21 per cent

Ministers on the Article 1 commission decided to reduce mobile set import duty from 56 to 21 per cent.
Article 1 is the body which decides the goods import duty.
According to the decision import duties on mobile set parts stands at six percent for SKD and zero percent for CKD.
The decision has been conveyed to government agencies by president’s first deputy.
Mobile import tariff, however, was raised from four to 60 percent in an effort to protect domestic manufacture but failed in the event.
The tariff was revised last winter by the commission and subsequently reduced to 25 percent.
