Third nationwide mobile phone operator’s foreign investor must be well-known

“A majority of foreign phone operators who have applied to take part in third nationwide mobile phone tender are not well-known internationally and lacking appropriate qualification,” Sadegh Ghouyandeh told Mobna news agency.
He believed a foreign investor has to be equipped with operation management tools rather than technical know-how and that is precisely the reason why the country’s mobile phone operators have not been successful.
He stressed a foreign investor should first and foremost provide security.
He said the amount of the capital a foreign investor brings into the country is less important than what it can do for the country in terms of its international standing.
