Third mobile phone operator documents to go on sale on 13 September: RCRO official

“Selling third mobile phone operator tender documents will start by 13 September and will continue for a month,” Radio Communication and Regulation Organization public relation head Mohammadreza Farnaghizad told Mobna news agency.
“Companies that want to invest in third mobile phone operator should buy tender documents in this deadline,” he added.
Already telecommunication ministry officials had said that the third mobile phone operator tender documents will go on sale by 6 September.
Foreign operators proposals will be evaluated in two stages. In the first stage quality and technical aspects will be evaluated and if succeed then financial and non technical aspects will be appraised.
Third operator certification will be expired after 15 years and after that it can be extended for two five years periods.
Third operator can attract 17 million subscribers include six million calling subscribers and 11 million data subscribers.
Mobile phone penetration rate in Iran is about 60 percent and number of mobile phone subscribers is more than 38 million.
