Suspicious calls to access sim cards pure speculation: telecommunications president

Recent calls from individuals claiming to be TCI engineers have caused unease among some mobile phone subscribers.
Subscribers are warned by TCI experts that when they receive such calls they should refuse to dial the number they have been asked, and hang up immediately.
Experts believe that by such a method some unknown companies could gain access to a subscriber’s sim card and from then on make calls at the subscriber’s expense.
TCI president Saaber Feizi, however, has ruled out the incident as pure speculation and indicated that such a practice is impossible in Irans telecom network.
