Mobile sets smuggling problem to remain even fall in import tariff: market insider

“So far there is no special surveillance in mobile phone market about smuggling, since 90 percent of mobile sets hit the market are smuggled ones,” Shahram Moradbeigi told Mobna news agency.
“If state owned organizations start a strict confrontation with unauthorized mobile sets importers then even authorized companies can develop their business with current tariff,” he added.
“Decreasing mobile phone import tariff may lead into authorized importers extent their activities but can not ban their activities,” Moradbeigi said.
“We hope that an independent organization could be established to keep control of market,” he added.
