Transmitting obscene pictures via mms considered telephone harassment: lawyer

“Any harassment such as transmission of sms with the intent to harm, or obscene pictures via sms or mms is regarded as telephone harassment,” Mohammad-Reza Fathalipour told Mobna news agency.
“According to Telecommunication Company of Irans revised regulation any person who uses his or her phone with the intent to harass another person or deliberately disrupt another person’s communication line will be punished with connection deactivation,” he said.
“For first time offender the line will be deactivated for a week following a written warning, whose re-establishment of the line is subject to payment of costs, and for second time offence the line will be deactivated for three months with prior written warning, and for the third time the line is deactivated permanently.” he elaborated.
