MMS & GPRS tariffs obligatory to all operators: regulatory body official

Regulation organization is Irans telecommunication ministrys regulatory body which sets the standards of operation, issues operation license and oversees the functions of the phone operators.
“The tariffs are compulsory for all operators without exception,” Radio Communication & Regulations Organization’s (RCRO) deputy Lotfollah Sabouhi told Mobna news agency.
He said to set tariffs is the duty of RCRO alone, who has right to change them as it sees fit.
“MMS and GPRS regulations, however, will be communicated to first and second nation wide operators after RCRO’s tariffs,” he said
The GPRS service enables mobile phone users to connect to the internet.
Through the MMS service, however, it is possible to transmit multimedia files (picture, audio and video) via the internet.
