Multi-capacity sim cards not offered due to security issues: telecommunication official

  “Establishment of phone calls is among the many features of multi-capacity sim cards, and the rest are about the non-telecommunication tasks such as data transmission and data storage,” Davoud Zareian told Mobna news agency.
He added that multi-capacity sim cards have not met wide reception in other countries either, mainly due to cultural and security reasons.
He stressed that if such sim cards were to be introduced in Iran, bearing in mind the existing shortcomings in the telecommunication sector, they would be still used as single-capacity sim cards.
