Persian font sms software tried on 100 mobile set models: project manager

“Currently there are almost 2,000 mobile set models in the country, but  95 percent of mobile phone subscribers use only 250 models and the other mobile set models are used rarely,” Persian font sms software project manager Jafar Mohammadi told Mobna news agency.
“Persian font sms software will be tested initially on popular mobile sets and after that the remaining ones will be tested,” he added.
“We have asked the authorized mobile set importers to provide sample of imported sets to Sharif Mobile phone value added services lab for testing so before the new models hit the market, this software will be installed on these mobile sets,” Mohammadi added.
So far 321,900 users have successfully downloaded Persian font sms sender software from Mobile Company of Iran website.
It is planned that the softwares second version which has new features will be released this week.
A plus point about this software is that by using it one can send Persian font sms up to 200 characters, while without it only 70 characters can be sent.
The softwares limitations are that it is just compatible with Mobile Company of Irans sim cards, it can not be installed on some mobile sets, it does not support Symbian operating system and it lacks delivery report.
