Fall in sale of Chinese mobile sets due to poor quality: retailer union

“The fall in sale of poor quality Chinese mobile sets has been as anticipated,” the president of Mobile Set Retailers union Afshar Froutan Larijani said.
“Such sets only violated consumers rights as they are not supported by after-sale service,” he added.
He said that if the government were to lower the current 25 percent import tariff on such articles, authorized importers would be able to continue trade and hence force out smuggling activities.
“Iran is now among the major importers of poor quality Chinese mobile sets, causing country’s exchange resources to get wasted and its consumers’ rights breached,” he said
The shortage in Chinese mobile spare parts has caused Chinese mobile sets to disappear from the shop windows of mobile set market.
