Third nationwide operator tender announcement to be set next week: official

“Radio Communications and Regulations Organization (RCRO) after studying and approving the quality of the tender participants, it will announce its finding to the tender organizer manager and then the time for announcing the tender will be known,” training, research and international affairs deputy in telecommunication ministry Kamal Mahamedpour told Mobna news agency.
“RCRO commission studied International Telecommunication Union (ITU) recommendations in a meeting in the past days. All ITU recommendations were approved by RCRO organization,” he added.
“Many countries have announced their willingness to participate in third nationwide mobile operator tender. The exact number participants will be known when the tenders are purchased,” Mahamedpour said.
Already, some major operators from 15 countries have shown inclination to participate in the project.
According to the authorities at telecommunication ministry the invitation for the third nationwide mobile operator tender will be announced by the end of the current Iranian month (July 22).
The winner of the tender for the third nationwide mobile operator will be announced by end of September.
