Mobile sets with warranty account for 10 per cent of market: distributor

“But most of the existing mobile sets have been imported through illegal channels, due to government’s refusal to lower the existing 25 percent import tariff by 15 per cent,” Mohsen Mehr-Pazhouhan told Mobna news agency.
He added that the situation has caused authorized importers of such commodity to face slow market.
“However, the only way to help restore thriving business for such importers and to force out smugglers is to reintroduce the old four percent import tariff,” Mehr-Pazhouhan advised.
He suggested that the import tariff should be “at most” 10 per cent.
Currently, Fitco is presenting the two mobile set brands, Pantec and Motorola with certified warranties.
